We are here, we are here, we are here!

I don't know what the hell happened, but obviously time has gotten away from me! Last you heard (read), I was mad that we had found evidence of trespassers on our land. So much has gone on since then, but the main thing being that the contractor showed up a few days ago and started to remove the trees from the area where we will be building. I went the day before and walked the area, hugging the trees and thanking them for being there.

I thought I would cry when I went back and found them down, but I held it together. What really got me though was the sad sounding bird calling from a tree right where the cutting stopped. UGH! But I keep reminding myself that this is what was meant to be when we bought the land! It will all come together and I will continue to honor and take care of it.

We also met virtually with the home designer and she is now working on the floor plan for the house as we continue to send her pictures of houses that we like. Woodchuck finally, FINALLY moved away from the idea of a castle, though still likes the idea of a turret, and we both like the idea of a whimsical, fairytale cottage. It will be interested to see what she comes up with!

With the snow, rain, ice and frigid temps we really haven't been able to get out there and do much, but I guess I kind of feel like it's time for the others to get their jobs done out there first while I prepare for surgery. Not only am I preparing for surgery, but also for the last art drop to Pieces of Jayde in Chesterton, Indiana for what will be at least a month or two, and for the Bizarre Bazaar this Fall which we have officially been accepted back to!

Although I have days where I am so lonely and feeling so isolated staying home, I am really enjoying being able to completely surround myself with, and lose myself in, art. The next post I make will hopefully be about how the contractor is done and I will be able to meet the NRCS out on the watershed in late March if I'm healed enough from surgery by then. Stay tuned!
