The most perfect of all!

I seriously cannot remember when we've had such a wonderful Autumn! I had been longing for one like what we had when I was a child, and we finally got it! Chilly nights, comfortable days, leaves stay on the trees long enough to completely turn, and stay on for awhile before getting blown off in the winds. Man, my soul really needed that! And I am so grateful that sights like this still stop me in my tracks and make me "ohhhh" and "aaahhhh".

The evenings were perfect for long walks around town while watching the sun sink!

And to see such a long season at the land that didn't have us melting was much appreciated! These maples are right in front, at the beginning of the driveway.

While I wait for Woodchuck to open the gate, I look right and see ONE red/orange tree. Most of the trees at the land turn gold....and I'm not complaining. I love that too!

The poplars are becoming bare. 🙈

I have to stop gawking at the trees (which is really hard for me to do!!!), and get to work. We still had bittersweet and honeysuckle to fight.

And some wonderful things to see! THIS is why I leave the leaves! Please stop bagging them up, please stop burning them.

And one of the trees that we were trying to eradicate of the bittersweet had some fanciness to show off.

At this time of year the pond clears of the water meal is like a mirror when there are no winds, though you can see a bit of a ripple in this photo.

As the vegetation dies back, the land is opening up and feels bigger!

These are not turkey tails!

Such a vibrant green surrounded by browns.

A bit of goldenrod holding on until the last moment!

The pin oak leaves are trying to turn red 😍

But we can't forget about our sons bathroom that we are working on. The plumbing was the most difficult part, just because of the location and difficulty in reaching everything. We had such a hard time, in fact, that we had to come back the next day to try again.

The walk home was much needed to clear our lungs (we have been wearing masks when we work on the bathroom), and our heads.

We went back the next day and got done what we needed to and made this visit a shorter one than usual! We are getting burnt out 😖

We were greeted with spectacular views on the way there and back!

We went back every day for days on end, each day feeling more exhausted, but we wanted to make everything was ready and in place for when the replacement pan (shower floor) came in. We figured at some point we would get caught up and then have a little break while we waited. On one trip back, we found this square nail during some demo.

And we repeatedly checked that everything lined up for the drain. We are ready to get this beast done!
